Training Workshop

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The training workshop is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and capabilities in the assessment of chemical hazards such as dust and heavy metals, organic solvents, acids, toxic gases and physical hazards such as noise, heat, illumination, vibration and evaluation of industrial ventilation. Discussion will focus on industrial hygiene and instrumentation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this module, the participant should have a basic understanding on:

  • Fundamental concepts of Industrial Hygiene, focusing on the assessment of chemical and physical hazards in the workplace.
  • The importance of Work Environment Measurement in the evaluation of Principle of Industrial Hygiene, helping participants understand how accurate measurements play a crucial role in assessing workplace health hazards.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary for building internal WEM capability of the company, enabling participants to conduct effective assessments independently.
 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/PRE-REQUISITES:

Target participants should have completed a 40-hr BOSH or COSH training
